Hello Patrick,

I'm sorry, but at this moment I can give any more details about this (already give out a bit too much ;))
We expect to have more details ready somewhere at the end of September.

Looks good ..

Direct dimmer command lines? .. and stage cueing? .. looks like you're adding more "theatre" based features?

This is a good move ..!

Hello Maarten,

I can't see the screenshot of cuelux pro. The problem could be, that I'm no twitter user. Is there an other way, to have a look at it, because i'm very interested in the Pro Version.

Best regards

Frank

We are actually working hard on the Cuelux Pro software in order to get it ready for PLS next year. It's great to know that you are keen to know more details on this new program. At this stage I would to share with you some of the main features of Cuelux Pro. I will try to explain more details in the weeks/months to come. Please don't expect a lot of screendumps at this moment, as we are still working on the skin.

The main features are:
- The CueCore will become the 'DMX interface' for this software. In other words, each CueCore comes with a 2-universe license of the software.
- Cuelux Pro will be multi-universe (just stack more CueCores)
- Matrix pixel-mapper
- A 'show control' menu in which you can receive/send/trigger various protocols and schedule events (similar to what is possible inside the CueCore)
- A timeline editor running on internal clock or external time codes
- Support multiple MIDI surfaces
- presets/palettes

Dear All

We will be launching CueluxPro at the upcoming Prolight+Sound show in Frankfurt in April.

This is an ideal place for you to really see what CueluxPro is all about and to meet the team making the software.

If you would like to book a meeting time so as not to be kept waiting then please email me with your preferred time and date for during the show: zoe "at" visualproductions "dot" nl

Hope to hear from you soon and to meet you in Frankfurt.

Best regards

Zoe

Dear Brett

If I am right you are in Australia so less likely to visit us at PL+S :-)

We will launch the software during the show giving demos etc then we except to have it available very soon after (or depending how we get on, the same week) as a download for everyone to use.

Thanks for your interest, greetings Zoe

We expect it to be downloadable from our website the first workday after PLS.
But as this will be the first public release we would advise you to test it carefully before using it in a real production.

If i can have an interface then its ok to me! I will take my previous interface with me than for backup... I only need 2 playbacks then, 1 fot worklight, the other one will get the whole show just with cues...

I there expected to be any functionality in cuelux that we will miss in cuelux pro?

I think this is important to know if considering buying a cuecore.

Yes, the Action Editor (feature from VisualDMX & CueCore) will give you similar functionality + much more.

Looking forward to having a play with this over the next week or so.

You can now download the beta version from:
ftp://haarlem.visualproductions.nl/releases (http://ftp://haarlem.visualproductions.nl/releases)ftp://haarlem.visualproductions.nl/releases
All people who already get a Cuecore can directly use it live!
But keep in mind that is a beta release.

system requirements for Cuelux PRO? (windows)
Title: Re: Cuelux Pro?! :)
Post by: Julien Levaufre on May 15, 2013, 07:30:03 PM
cueluxpro works on windows xp/vista/seven/8 32/64bits MAc OS and linuc ubuntu.
As it's an ethernet link it doesn't need any driver!

RAM Size?

Dual Core needed?

Title: Re: Cuelux Pro?! :)
Post by: Julien Levaufre on May 15, 2013, 08:34:03 PM
You don't need a dual core. ABout the ram it works with 1Gb as i used it with my eeepc...
But if you patch 256 fixtures  and create many matrix you may need more...
Title: Re: Cuelux Pro?! :)
Post by: Dennis Kromhout on May 16, 2013, 10:03:07 AM
The real system requirements still need to be determined. For windows you will need a more powerful computer then when running it on Linux. A dual core isn't needed but almost all modern cpu's have multiple core's anyway.

It all depends on how many fixture's you're using and how many matrix layers. You can install CueluxPro without having a license (CueCore) and check if an old system is good enough for the task in mind.

you get it for free when you buy a cuecore... so it's the price of a cuecore.
Title: Re: Cuelux Pro?! :)
Post by: djlucky on November 06, 2013, 09:34:09 AM
maybe stupit question but, can work cueluxPro with cuecable or can work cuelux with cuecore?
Title: Re: Cuelux Pro?! :)
Post by: Dennis Kromhout on November 06, 2013, 10:12:09 AM
No,

The CueCore contains the CueluxPro license
The CueCable contains the Cuelux license.

Without the proper hardware connected the software runs in demo mode.
Title: Re: Cuelux Pro?! :)
Post by: djlucky on November 06, 2013, 10:53:24 AM
ok, but it would be nice when cuecore can run with cuelux/emulation, im thinking about selling my actual setup and buy cuecore. But i am affraid of controlling via cuelux pro. I want to have a chance to choose which one actually to use, but have both is by me waste of money. for small setup is cuelux sufficiency, and for larger aplications simply run cueluxpro. (but not backward of course ;-)

Is it not technicaly possible in future? Try to think about it.
Title: Re: Cuelux Pro?! :)
Post by: Dennis Kromhout on November 06, 2013, 11:40:13 AM
Well, it simply are 2 different products and we want to keep them separated because each marked has its own requirements. If the operator is the same person then wouldn't it make more sense to get familiar with 1 gui? CueluxPro also has an advantage if it needs to be controlled by less experience users. As you can use VisualTouch or TouchOSC to make a GUI for them so they only can press a few buttons. Making it even easier to use for them than Cuelux.

In the end we need to make decisions where to invest our development time in and we already have a big list with important things :)

Keep in mind that also software & support goes through the distribution channel.
We don't give direct support for the Elation boxes and vise versa
