Title: Cue recording suggestion.
Post by: -bart- on February 19, 2015, 03:02:34 PM
I wonder how other users think about this.

When recording cues (in palettes or cuelists) I would suggest to only record the targets (and their attributes) that are selected.

Correct me if i'm wrong, there is no way of excluding fixtures that you may have touched, during the creation of the cue.
I know, you can exclude attributes by knocking them out, and you can also delete targets from the cuelists afterwards.

Right now, all too often, I have to peel off unwanted fixtures to sanitize the cue.
The smoke-machine or the interior lighting may have been turned on, or palettes that I used had targets beyond the ones i had in mind.
Also in a live situation, if you want to store a particular position of a particular head it is unpreventable to record collateral clutter.

Or am I the only one that unintentionally incorporates targets in his cues ?
