Can the the midi controller's working bank be different from the computer's display on Cuelux ?
I have other software controlled stuff, where i can assign a bank to the BCF2000 and still work on a different bank on the computer's display / touchscreen...
If not, this would be a very welcome thing, not ?
Anyone ?
Best

this is already possible but you need to edit by hand your midimap file...
IF you want to control the faders you see on the screen, you use the key word " playback fader" from 1 to 8. If you want to use any of the 64 playback faders not depending on the banck shown on the screen use the key word" playback direct fader" from 1 to 64.
have fun ;D

You mean the midimap file 'in use', like the ones in midimaps > factory folder
Thanks

yes, if you want to create a custom midimap, just copy/past the file you want to use from factory folder to user folder, then you can edit it and use it the way you like.
IF you let the file in the factory folder, when you will update cuelux the file will be erased.

What I'd like to do :
Use the screen via touchscreen / mouse,
and use the midi controller independently with it's bank knobs
i.e. screen works on a freely selected bank ( from 1-8 ) and the midi controller works on a different bank, but freely selectable on the controller ( 1-8 )
I had a look at the midimap xml, but don't get it, what has to be changed or added...
Can U help ?
Thanks a lot
and
best regards

what you want to do is not possible i am sorry.
the best you can do with cuelux is to get any banks you want from 1 to 8 on your screen and control always the same banck from yourmidi controler.
It's not possible to switch banck from screen and switvh differents banck wit the midi controler.

Sorry I don't get it...

( your nessage above )
says it's possible...
Could you explain what exactly you mean then ?
Thank you very much

What you want to do is to be able to control banks 1 to 8 from your touchscreen or mouse and to be able the same from you midi controller. ( anyway this is what I understood from your last post). In this case cuelux would be able to be on bank 4 on the screen and to control bank 6 from the midi controller and then change to bank 3 on the screen and to bank 5 on the midi controller... This is not possible.
What I told you is possible to do is to control bank 1 to 8 from the screen or mouse and control a unique bank from the midi controller.
I hope this last possibility could fit your expectations.

Yeah, that would be a starting point, although, I should be able to switch banks controlled by the controller on the controller
Possible ?
If yes, please explain for me ( light-dummy ), actually soundguy ;D
Thanks

The think is that the bank you will control with your midi controller will be set in the midi map. So if you use it you won't be able to change the bank controlled by the midi controller during the show.

ok, thanks !
How to do that 'exactly ?
Any copy /paste text-code to insert in the midimap, for i.e. - fader bank 1 / buttons in faderbank 1 - around ?
Best

please try to use this midimap.
record the berinher.xml file in the midimap/user folder and then select the [user]BCF2000 in cuelux.
With it your bcf will always control banck 1 whatever the banck shown on the screen is.
But you will not be able to switch banck on the controller.
I hoppe it fits your expectations,
enjoy ;)

Thanks a lot Julien ( merçi ! )

Sorry to ask
could this be used / altered for the APCmini to ?
Thanks ;D
Klaus

You mean that you want the app mini to always control only the bank 1, whatever the bank number shown on the screen?

You mean that you want the app mini to always control only the bank 1, whatever the bank number shown on the screen?
Or another ( only 1 ) faderbank, the APCmini has another 64 buttons ( top row on screen, and my screen is a touchscreen...and I would work on the other faderbanks onscreen...by touch
Im just evaluating what gives me the 'best' overall control
Thanks

do you want to use the apc mini and the bcf2000 together on cuelux ( this is not really possible) or you don't know and you want to test?
Usually we do not create custom midimap for users, because if we do it once we will never stop getting special requests... Tell me what you really need and i do it! ;D
-
I would like to test the APCmini with my touchscreen config...
You kondly made a file for the BCF2000 that I will test later too...
I know two controllers don't work in Cuelux ( although this would improve Cuelux a lot IMHPOV )
Thanks very much indeed Julien
...et à + ;D
Klaus

the improved version of cuelux is cuelux pro and you can use 2 midi controllers ;D
anyway please find an updated version of the apc mini midemap.
it will control only fader banck one.
enjoy ;)
-
If you make the Cuelux cable compatible with Cuelux Pro, I'll buy Cuelux Pro ;D
Merçi beaucoup !
Klaus

if you buy a cuecore i offer you cuelux pro ;D

Can I migrate Cuelux shows into Cuelux Pro ?

Hi Julien
I have time to invest into Cuelux and APC mini…
You kindly offered a file for the APC mini to kontrol only bank 1.
I opened the file but can't understand what I have to change to let the APC mini control bank 8 only instead of bank 1
only,
could you please elaborate ?
Thank you very much and
best regards
Klaus

in the file you will find 8 <action></action> block where the task type is "plaback direct fader" then a number going from 1 to 8.
1 to 8 are the 8 first faders from the total of 64 so iit's banck 1
it you want banck 8 you need the 8 last faders so from 57 to 64!
SO just change numbers 1-8 to 57-64 in those 8 actions blocks!

Thanks Julien !
But :
I just startet with the 'APCmini-faderbank 1 only' file and it doesn't work at all ( isn't recognized as midimap by Cuelux )
Maybe I have the wrong file ? ( please see attachement )
I remember you had fixed issues with the 1st APCmini file,
Could please check it out ?
Thanks
and best regards

BTW
I tested the Behringer - faderbank 1 only file
and it doesn't work at all, although it is recognised as midimap
Hmmhh…
Thanks for checking ASAP ;D
Klaus

I tried the Akai and the Behringer midimap you provided as beeing 'faderbank 1 only'…some time ago from this forum.
None was recognized here on OSX…
Unfortunately it is a bit difficult to keep track of the differen midimaps, since they are named all the same
( like the original ), even the ziped ones
What causes Cuelux 1.3.96 to 'not' recognize a midimap ?

Julien,
I'm not an expert, but take it for sure,
I tested it with the BCF2000.
Try it yourself, please…the one that should control only faderbank 1

that's really rare as the midi chanels have to be exactly the same but it's great!

Sorry, don't get it, what is great ?
