Title: Backup CueCore 1 not working
Post by: ijakobs on April 06, 2017, 10:50:39 AM
Hi everyone,

I have a CueCore 1 that I would need to backup and restore it on a CueCore2. Unfortunately the Backup Function doesn't work. I can type in a Name and get the Backup to start, but it effectively wont download. The "CueCore is backing up..." Dialog is running, but even after 10 minutes of waiting nothing happens. CueCore is running FW 1.88, vManager is the latest version.

Second question: Are CueCore 1 und 2 compatible in their config files or would I need to manually copy all settings?

Thanks,
Ingo

Hello Ijakobs,

Is there a chance that your computer and your CueCore1 are not in the same network? Almost all communication between the unit and the vManager requires the two to be in the same network.

If there are in the same network and you can not create a backup it may be useful to download the latest vManager from our download page (http://www.visualproductions.nl/downloads.html). And try to create a backup with it. If this does not work as well please upgrade your CueCore1 to the latest version 1.89 and try again.

On your second question about CueCore1 and CueCore2. Unfortunately the two have an almost completely different structure internally. Which does not allow you to restore a backup of a CueCore1 to a CueCore2 or visa versa.

On of the biggest changes between the two is the console and the recorder in the CueCore1, have been completely remade in the CueCore2.

The CueCore1 can have up to 16 recordings and the CueCore2 can have up to 128 recordings. The console in the CueCore2 has been combined with the recorder and there for it no longer has its own separate memory. Next to those the CueCore2 has playbacks which are used to start and stop your recordings.

I hoop that this information was useful to you.

Best regards,
Guido
