Title: Moving Light Fine adjustments for position, color, gobo etc.
Post by: ddrummer on August 31, 2017, 05:13:37 PM
Hello cuety team,

I'm very happy to own cuety as tablet (ipad) light controller for my band projects. We use some moving lights and enjoy the easy way of programming scenes with the fx generator. For us cuety is a really good compromise concerning usability, complexity and costs. Great product!

Anyway I'm wondering about the handling/usability when programming positions and effects (colors, gobos etc.) of the moving lights. Is there a way to get the faders "bigger"? Or did I miss something? - It' very difficult to adjust exact positions, colors etc. That is really a bit frustrating. You have to work very precise to avoid mistakes here.. Did I miss a kind of zoom function or feature, that simplifies the handling here when I use cuety on the ipad? - When using on laptop or desktop computer with mouse, this is maybe not a problem,

I couldn't read anything here concerning this topic, so I assume, that I overlooked something. Please help me.

Concerning "new" features: I really miss a "TAP Tempo" and a "Black-Out" - Button. That would be very useful.

Best regards
Elmar

Hello @ ddrummer,

I am glad you like our product! The first issue you mention with the zoom in, is still in our list. although it is hard to added and the keep the experience clean and simple.

Now to the features: Tap Tempo is meant to be more of a pro features so try to keep it out of an entry level product. The Black out has been introduced since version 1.08, the Logo of Visual Productions works also as a hidden blackout button.

Greetings,

Michael.

The Blackout-Feature is not mentioned in the german manual. I just saw, that it is already in the English version. Thanks for the information.

Pleaaaaaase discuss/think about the tap tempo feature in your development team. Since I had some time to read the posts here, I think many, many users of cuety would really appreciate especially a tap feature. Adjusting the speed of chases with tablet/ipad along music is nearly impossible, I think this is basis function at least for applications in music/dj applications.

2 remaining questions:

Do you have an idea or workround, to make it easier to adjust the speed of chases? - I would enjoy any information here.
(I'm aware of the possibility using the "3 finger" bar movement and using the knobs. But as I said, this is not a satisfying experience. The resolution is simply to low.)

Do have plans or a schedule to rollout a new release containing the zoom feature? Any information is welcome.  :)

Best regards from a user, that really likes cuety... :)

Hello @ddrummer,

Thank you for the not on the German manual. For your first question did you try to use the delay functionality?

Your requests are duly noted and we are trying our best to keep it simple and include as much as possible.

Greetings,

Michael.
