Title: Can't Add More Fixtures in CueluxPro
Post by: acolyteled on November 28, 2018, 03:34:43 PM
Hi,

I have 2 QuadCores connected to CueluxPro. My first QuadCore is using all 4 universes and 512 fixtures are patched. Now, I am trying to continue my scene with my 5th universe (2nd QuadCore) but I am not able to patch any more fixtures because 512 addresses are being used. I guess Cuelux is determining that all 512 addresses are used on the first QuadCore so I can't add any more but I should be able to add more to the second QuadCore. Please let me know if there is a setting or something that I need to do to get Cuelux to patch more fixtures on to the fifth universe.

Thank you.

Hi,

What kind of fixtures are you using? There's a limit for 512 fixtures, but you can use subfixtures.
For example, using the rgb (x16) fixture gives you a total of 8192 fixtures.

Bootsy,

I am using RGBW fixtures. If I use subfixtures does that limit my capability of creating a unique lighting element on each fixture? How do I go about adding subfixtures?

Thank you.

Hi,

Using subfixtures you will still be able to use every pixel separate.
To add them you can use the "RGBW 04x" or "RGBW 09x"  instead of the single RGBW.
You can select the entire fixture and/or the subfixtures in the status page. The subfixtures are vertical lines in the main fixture.
