Title: Visual Touch Connection Problem
Post by: Dynamic on March 14, 2008, 02:15:33 PM
Hi

When I connect visual touch it assigns a connection in visualdmx options and assigns a port number.  If I lose wireless connectivity then re-establish it without restarting visualdmx then it assigns a new connection and a new port number but makes it the second connection.  The original connection stays active but the visual touch no longer works correctly.  Do you know how to fix this?

Hi Neil,

Thanks for your post. I've tested it, and it seems to be a bug. We'll solve this problem as soon as possible.

Regards,

Jeroen

thanks, I wondered if maybe forwarding a specific port to the handheld device and blocking all others might prevent it?  We have a client who requires this issue resolved as soon as possible so I look forward to hearing from you soon.  Thanks.

I have just uploaded VisualDMX 1.49 build 13 to the website, this new release addresses two issues related to VisualTouch:

- A broken connection (not properly closed e.g. because of wifi loss) is now automatically removed. This takes approx. 10 seconds.

- VisualDMX experienced problems serving more than one client connection at a time, this is now solved.

I feel that this will solve your issues, but please let me know if it doesn't.

regards,
Maarten
