Title: updating cuelux
Post by: RonEnNieShow on June 24, 2009, 03:59:31 PM
hi cuelux

i have noticed a little bug in cuelux

because when i start up cuelux it automaticly cheks for update's ( great  ;D ) but than i have to go manuealy to the site to really update cuelux is it not possible to also update if i want to whit out going to the site ( sort of automatic update yes or no stuff ) because now i have to copy the whole www link to my internet browser.

and i have another question about the patching of my figure's  you said that it would be changed that when i pres M O that it shoots to movitech or something else that begins whit MO i stat of going to the O brand figure's wasn't this possible or ........

i also have problems whit the punisher of martin i can't see anywhere the gobo/color ( this is one so gobo and coller are combined )
i don't have a visual of the gobo's or color

also the speed of the program when i have a lot of movingheads running is still verry verry verry slow even a 8 gig quadcore 2.6 ghz cpu goes to almost 100% cpu what is causing this effect and could it be solved quickly because it is really really anoying

so that was all for now

( i use cuelux 0.31 on a windows xp professional with 1024mb 2.2 ghz cpu)

a clickable link to the download page sounds like a nice idea; I'll add it to my list.

We've had few more request to improve the search capabilities in the 'add fixture' dialog. I'm sure we can expand it in the near future.

The difficulty with the Martin Punisher is that the manual doesn't give any info on the actual colours (and gobos). Perhaps you could telll us the colours of your Punisher unit. Could you please complete the list below?

Position 1 --> colour: ??
Position 2  --> colour: ??
Position 3  --> colour: ??
Position 4  --> colour: ??
Position 5  --> colour: ??
Position 6 --> colour: ??
Position 7  --> colour: ??
Position 8  --> colour: ??
Position 9  --> colour: ??
Position 10  --> colour: ??
Position 11  --> colour: ??
Position 12  --> colour: ??
No effect
Random (music/controller triggered)

Thanks for your help!

I am still working on the speed/optimisation issue... please bear with me a little longer.

for the punisher i will look in to it this weekend because than i have to work with it ;)

and ofcourse we have respect that it takes some time to help out the speed problem but we have not heart for some time of it so we thought let's remind them about the problem because for us it is the biggest bug when we are ussing it for large events furter more it keeps getting better and better it's a really nice program and it's also nice to notice that people are working to get bugs out of the system so for that keep up the great work

and the update system i'm looking out for it  ;D

version 1.31.4 is now online and the windows release has the 'clickable' link in the 'update check' dialog which will take you straight to the website  :)

In the mac os and linux release I still have to implement it >:(

hi Ronnie,

I have optimized the speed of the software in version 0.32. Especially if you run lots of moving heads it should now respond much more fluent. Would you like to give it a go and let me know how it works for you now?
