Title: hotkeys/Playback bank/cue’s
Post by: Mitchel V on July 13, 2009, 03:12:15 AM
Hello Cuelux Team,

I just did my first Live show whit Cuelux and there by having some questions and comment.
Hotkeys:
*Are there more hotkeys available for both the playback banks?
*Are there hotkeys available for the globals?

Playback bank/cue’s:
I’ve made a shutter chase built out of 4 cue’s and so I have made several other chases now comes the thing… For playing back this chases I’ve added them into the faders or buttons. But when I want to play them  back fader/button 2 overrides fader/button 1 en fader/button 3 overrides fader/button 2 etcetera.

So when I am playing back fader or button 2 and then want to play back fader or button 1 I first have to stop fader or button 2.
Is there a trick to overrule this?Because stopping every chase is not really ideal, Because when you want to stop a chase you have to hold a button there by losing time…

Also I have trouble whit all the buttons. The buttons have the tendency to get stuck then when I click on them the problem is solved. But during a show it isn’t that funny when all the blinders are staying on.

If there are solutions for this problems I would be very happy :)
Already thanks for looking in to it.
Thanks, Kind regards

hi Mitchel,

The hotkeys are:
playback fader bank: PgUp & PgDn
playback button bank: F11 & F12
fog global: numpad /
strobe global: numpad *
blinder global: numpad -

overriding Playbacks
Cuelists with shutter attributes are merged via LTP. So the last activated will overrule the previous running cuelist. We've recently changed the code a bit so that pressing the 'go' button will reactive the cuelist again. This is the fastest way to switch between LTP cuelists. Also you could take a the fader level down to 0% which makes the shutter chase idle although it's still running.

Sticky buttons
i'll look out for the problem of buttons sticking; this should not happen of course.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Thanks, I did not think of PgUp & PgDn. Can I edit the hotkeys to? Because on my laptop the numpad isn’t there…

overriding Playbacks
I first thought to it was LTP but only the range of faders as I explaned it is overruling the LTP. Is the fault whit me now?

there is no way of customizing the hotkeys (yet). I'll work on the hotkeys to make them more easy to use with laptops (without numpads)...
