Title: Direct connection to iMac (what IP should I be using)
Post by: roadthrasher on April 27, 2022, 03:56:22 PM
I have my Quadcore connected directly to my iMac via ethernet. Last week it just stopped working at our church. I have no idea what happened. I don't know anything about lighting. Help!

Here is what the settings are now. The quad core has a white pudding light.

Hello Roadthrasher,

It seems your computer and QuadCore are not in the same IP range.
If you are directly connected without a router you can do the following to change this the IP address.

1. In vManger click on options.
2. Look at the list "LOCAL IP ADDRESSES".
3. Close the popup.
4. Select the QuadCore.
5. Click on the IP Address.
6. Click on change.
7. Click on Static.
8. Enter a new IP address.
Set it to an IP address of your computer +1 or -1. (This list from step 2) Please make sure the IP address you enter does not end with a 0 or 255.
9. Click Ok.
10. You should now be able to use the QuadCore as normal.

Best regards,
