We do have backup solutions, but that is using the CueCore2/QuadCore.

For Cuelux + Cuety, I think it is best to just program some basic things in the LPU/Cuety.

thanks, i misinterpreted the text in the manual. Playback settings, not Playbacks.
Is there a solution from Visual Productions for a backup solution if there is a problem with the PC or the Cuecable?
I wanted to copy the Cueleux Show File to Cuety and if there is a problem I play from Cuety.

So it says that no cues will be imported, only some playback settings. Did you check the playback settings? ("Properties")
As it will not import any cues, a playback with different, imported settings will look the same as a normal empty playback I think.

Below the Text from Cuety Manual:
Importing from Cuelux
It is possible to import a show file made in Cuelux, another lighting software
package made by Visual Productions. After copying the Cuelux show file to the
iPad using iTunes it will become visible in the show file listing. The Cuelux
show files remain read-only. Opening this file will import the patch and some
playback settings. The cues, however, will not be imported as Cuelux saves this
information in different style.

In my mind it should be possible?

Enabling and disabling functionality is mostly done by enabling or disabling the appropriate Actionlist. This can be done in the webinterface, using the API or using a task in another Action.

The tricky part is that if you disable the OSC, UDP or Button source, you can't use that anymore to enable it again. There are a few tricks to get around this. One is to enable/disable the list through a different protocol than what you use for the controls. The other is a bit more work, and might cause you to hit the limits of ShowControl (amount of actions/task etc.)

You can route any functionality you want to disable through a Userlist. This is done by the task "Action - link". When using buttons, instead of placing the needed tasks in the button action, you put them in a new action in a userlist. Now in the original button action, you use the "Action - link" task to execute the action in the userlist. Now you can enable and disable the userlist, without disabling the other button actions.

CueCore, QuadCore, IoCore, TimeCore & B-Station / Disable DMX output
« Last post by bryan1994 on April 14, 2021, 02:32:28 PM »

I have an installation consisting of:
1 CueCore 2
1 Kiosc Touch
2 Bstation 2

I would like to know if it is possible to deactivate the DMX outputs of the Cuecore by looking at a button of the BStation2. Or if there is another way to do this.

But finally is to be able to "block and unblock" all the buttons (on the 2 Bstation2 and the Kiosc Touch) from only one.

Thank you in advance for your feedback  :)

I would have to check, but I think this is because Cuelux and Cuety are very different. My guess is that only the patch can be imported, not the actual show.

Dear all
I would like to backup my Cuelux show on Cuety LPU-1.
If I import the File to Cuety, the patches are available, but there's no Playbacks.
Are there any settings to check, or some kind auf playback features that not work with cuety?

What is the IP adres reported in the "About" page of vManager?

vManager relies on broadcast messages to find the devices, for this to work you have to be in the same IP broadcast range as the devices.

I'm afraid there are no plans for terminal integration for backup/restore.

Thank you again for timely reply.

It seems as the VManager does not find my devices, I can navigate to the device using the browser

I am using mac OS Catalina and the most up to date VManager 1.4.69

Are there any future plans for terminal integration? would be really handy at least for my use cases as mostly the devices are deployed together with a linux server
