Have four or this in the workshop, quite old fixtures but very bright so would be nice to use them.

Manual is terrible and the company has gone bust so but they are single arm moving heads with colour and gobo wheels.

There are 9 control channels and the detailed information of control is as follow:

1   Pan scan         -     0 255,   pan 0-540'   scan from slow to quick
2   X axis 16 Bit   -      0 255 adjust speed from slowly to fast
3   Tilt scan          -      0 255,   tilt 0-2700   scan
4   Y axis 16 Bit    -     0 255   adjust speed from slowly to fast
5   Strobe             -       0-17 off, 8-118 on   119-160 from slow to fast, 161-244 flash randomly   245-255 light on
6   Color + streamline    -   0-11 colors + white
7   Gobo + streamline    -   0 255 adjust speed from slowly to fast
8   Gobo self-rotating    -   0 255 adjust speed from slowly to fast
9   Reset by controller    -   0 255 whole unit reset

If there is a file I can use as a starting point I can take it front there.

Thanks

Hey Rayco,

I'm working on it right now..
Can you give me some more details about channel 6, 7 and 8?

6: Which colours in which value range?
7 & 8: Which one is the rotation speed and which one is for changing the gobo?

Thanx,
Rick

The manual has only basic info.

Will have to plug them in to get the details.

Would it be possible at all to send me a basic version of an 9 channel profile for these to allow me to map out the colours and the gobos?

thanks

No problem.. Going to white your personality file now..

In channel 5, is "8-118 on" the dimmer?

Yes, I don't think there is a proper dimmer on these, just the shutter.

I'm sure they were a copy of the Robe 160 XT or something like that.

Thanks

Please find the file attached.
To add it to Cuelux, follow this manual: http://www.visualproductions.nl/forum/index.php?topic=857.0

Please let me know if it works :)

Hi,

Have just noticed that is an XML file.

How do I use that as a .FXT file ?

If you have the latest beta of Cuelux, you can install it just like you should with an FTX file.
Since the last beta we started to use the XML file format instead of the FTX file format.

I see.

All the other ones are .FXT and as I use a Mac and edit them with Textedit it would be handy to keep to .FXT.

Is there a way of converting them?

Hi,

Have tried this one and having some problems.

Original did not work many things for set up a 9 channel dimmer to map out functions.

I came up with this set of instructions.

fixture         "Daddy-Oh-2"
class         yokespot

angle pan         540
angle tilt         270
    position pan  msb   0   0,255
    position tilt msb   1   0,255
    position pan  lsb   2   0,255
    position tilt lsb   3   0,255
   strobe
       {
      offset            4
           control            8,118
      pulse            119,160
      random            161,244
      on            245,255

       }
   color
   {
      offset            5
      slot            0,4   CLR_WHITE
      slot            5,12   CLR_BLUE
      slot            13,23   CLR_PINK
      slot            24,33   CLR_GREEN_LIGHT
      slot            34,50   CLR_CYAN
      slot            51,60   CLR_YELLOW
      slot            61,70   CLR_MAGENTA
      slot            71,80   CLR_BLUE_LIGHT
      slot            81,91   CLR_RED
      slot            92,99   CLR_GREEN
      slot            100,108   CLR_AMBER
      slot            109,114   CLR_RED_DARK
      rotation msb         cw 115,155    stop 155    ccw 156,255
       }
   gobo
   {
             offset         6
           slot         0,6      GB_OPEN    static
           slot         7,12      GB_SPLASH   rotating
           slot         13,20      GB_STARS   rotating
           slot         21,27      GB_SWIRL   rotating
           slot         28,34      GB_UNKNOWN   rotating
           slot         35,41      GB_UNKNOWN   rotating
      slot         42,49      GB_STAR      rotating
           slot         50,54      GB_DOTS      rotating
           slot         55,62      GB_CONE      rotating
      scroll         62,255
      rotation msb      offset 7    cw 62,154    stop 155    ccw 156,255
      }
 reset
    {
        offset         8
        on         0,255
        time         4
    }
}

There is obviously some problems here as i dont know much about syntax.

The beam channel does not have anything on the 'dimmer' channel
Not all the gobos and colours are showing up
pan/tilt behaves erratically
colours scroll continuously

Any help you can give would be appreciated.

Also,
is there such a thing as a list of gobo patterns available, to help choose a more accurate gobo?

Regards

That's why I sent you the xml-file in the first place. That's much easier to understand :)

The beam channel does not have anything on the 'dimmer' channel
That because thought you said there was no dimmer.. ("Yes, I don't think there is a proper dimmer on these, just the shutter.")

Not all the gobos and colours are showing up
pan/tilt behaves erratically
colours scroll continuously

...

is there such a thing as a list of gobo patterns available, to help choose a more accurate gobo?

I know this won't work with my file because I don't have the info about the colours and gobo's. So you have to add the colours and gobo's by yourself.
If you are a Windows user, you'll find all the gobo's in: C:\Program Files\Visual Productions\Cuelux....\glyphs\gobo

For the rest I found a few typo's in the personality file and I'm going to fix these right away :)
