Hi Folks,

On MacOS X I can combine some Audio-Inputs/Outputs to an aggregate device to use in software that allows only for one audio device. Does someone of you guys know if something similar is possible for MIDI as well? The reason for this is, that Cuelux only alows one MIDI interface on one port. I use a Livid Ohm64 connected via USB for MIDI control, but I have also created some nice interface with TouchOSC/OSCulator on my iPad for programming Cuelux. I would like to use both at the same time with one mapping file without switching controllers and ports, so some kind of aggregate MIDI device would be good to have...

Thanks a lot,

Ben

Maybe you can take a look at MidiOx (http://www.midiox.com/) :)

Hi Rick,

I am afraid that's Windows only ;-)

Best,

Ben

The exact thing you're looking for might be:

http://notahat.com/midi_patchbay

Connect any MIDI device to any other MIDI device, perform  channel-shifting per source device (very useful with Cuelux if you make a custom mapping), create virtual MIDI ports to "send" the merged MIDI to Cuelux.

This is the software I used to merge a MidiCon, Novation Launchpad & the Tascam US-2400 to one Cuelux system ;)
