Hi Guys,

Since a few weeks i'm using Cuelux now together with the behringer BCF2000 midi controller.

Is it possible to assign to top playback buttons to a button on my behringer?

I've seen that this is possible to some of the other buttons, but it won't seem to work for top ones?

thx already

greets

Hi megadanc,

Welcome to the forum!

It is possible to control the playback buttons with your BCF2000, but therefore you'll need to change your midimap.
What controls to you want to change?

Rick

The buttons i want to assign to my bcf2000 are the top ones between the desklight and the global buttons.

As i tried earlier they don't give a midisignal so far....

Hi megadanc,

I meant; What controls to you want to change on your BCF. I've added the default layout of the BCF.

The speed or attack buttons.
Besides turning they also have a pusch function that is not yet assigned.
So i was thinking that is was possible to assign this push function to the top playback buttons of cuelux and maybe at the right side of the behringer you have the 2 "select speed" and "select attack" buttons, under these 2 you also have 2 free buttons. Maybe it is possible to assign these to change the bank of the top playback buttons in cuelux...

thx already

On the 2 top encoder groups, the encoder-push is a reset.

I can program the playback buttons on the third (under-left) group. I can't put the Bank+/- on those buttons because they don't send MIDI messages.

Hey Rick,

Wich group do you exactly mean by the third (under left)? Are these the buttons that are currently assigned as "Flash"?

thx

Maybe my explanation was a bit inaccurate.

See picture below..

Hello,
I think he means that you should set the select-buttons from the top playback-buttons below or above the speed and attack buttons. And the top playback-buttons should be set instead of the play/release- buttons. I think this should be the best method to control cuelux with an BCF2000

What I mean is that I can program a new encoder group button (next to select speed/attack).
When selected, you can start playback buttons with the encoders in stead of changing the speed/attack.

ALL the BCF buttons can be programmed. I am just working on a layout with (from top to button)

- Release Buttons for the upper play buttons in Cuelux (Push on Rotaries, still no function for rotary, dont know what will be useful)
- Play Button (Upper Row)
- Play Button (Faders)
- Fader Level

for 8 channels.

TOP RIGHT 4 Buttons: Bank down/up both for Fader and Button Bank
Store/Learn/Edit/Exit Buttons: still guessing

Preset left: Release, Preset right: Blinder

Lower 4 Buttons: Strobe, Fog, Tap, BO

Most of the functions are already implemented, feedback seems to be tricky at all. I am still waiting for the cuelux guys to give a complete list of available commands.

cheers,

Henry

As far as I know, those buttons don't send out MIDI messages. When you've managed to control Cuelux with these buttons, I really like to know how you did that ;)

Please take a look at the Behringer and/or Generic midimap :)

You will need to edit the BCF with the BC Manager.

http://home.kpn.nl/f2hmjvandenberg281/bcman.html

YOu are able to edit the BC to provide 4 additional buttons on the top right by losing the ability of switching to several edit pages.
You can also make the BCF forgetting the save/edit ... preset up/down  buttons but will get 6 additional programmable buttons.

Remembder to save the created *syx to have it at your computer tore-load that patch into the BCF pre-show.

That looks quite handy :)

I really wonder if it makes the BCF send out messages on the 'special'  buttons! :)
