thank you very much for all these informations, i always thaught it should be possible to test android on an emulator but i never found time to look for it...

You're welcome.  Yes, I recommend trying the android SDK.  (It's free.)

I'm looking forward to getting a new phone some day too.  It's amazing, the pace of advancement.  If in about a year smart phones may have SDXC memory cards capable of 2 TB and quad core 1.5 Ghz processors then what's next?  No doubt, the voice recognition will improve, gps tagged photos, etc...  Who would've thought of it a few years ago? ???  Personally, I'm hoping for a Mirasol type color reader display (easier on the eyes), rather than a 3D display.  But a 3D color ereader display would be cool too.  Anyways, this means that tablets will increasingly be running lighting software as the hardware develops and not just be used for remote apps.
