Hi,

I'm currently evaluating Cuelux and overall I really like it. But I have found some features that would be nice if they could be integrated in the future.

1. Under "Play" button where you can see all playback faders or playback buttons it would be nice if the borders around each "memory" had different color regarding state: red = stopped, green = playing, etc.
In that way you get a really good overview of which memories are currently running. Very useful if you use it with a midi controller that has many buttons for direct access to memories.

2. Shape generator that only effects X or Y.
It would be nice if you can generate a shape that only affects the x or y axis. I like to assign a X shape to one fader and an Y shape to another fader. In that way you can easy create a circle shape with the faders and at the same time have control over the X and Y size of it.

3. An option on each playback fader to set size and/or speed on fader.
Today I think the fader controls both speed and size of the effect, for example a shape. But if you could set an option on the fader that it only should control speed, the shape will be at the "size" as when you programmed it and then you control the speed with the fader. Or if you like it the other way, fader controls the size, not the speed. Or as today, both. Two checkboxes under playback settings: Speed on fader and Size on fader.

I hope some or all of this will be implemented in the future, then I guaranteed will buy it!

Thanks in advance.

All the play button already change color depending of what the playback is doing, green for a cuelist playing, red for a stopped cuelist, orange for a stopping one, blue for a group etc...

For number 2, it's true that it could be a nice effect, and i alreday tried to do it but it's nor working, but if you want to slect with teh fader the size of your circle  you just need to recard a circle shape on the fader and then you will selct the size with it.

About the speed on the fader i know you can already do it if you are using a MIDI controler, on my side i use a BCF2000 and on the top rotating buttons i can set the cuelist speed or attack!

Just to clarify #1:

It is on the grid-screen I want to have the color identification. Today all "buttons" have green border regardless of state.

4. An attribute or pallet screen so you can see a field full of accessoires instead of go faders so you can activate an attribute straight from the field screen and add tabs to sort different kind of attributes.

5. Support for network DMX (Possibly thru a controller)

6. Support for color wheel and gobo wheels in memory programmer so I dont have to geuss by Lee# or color field.
For example: You get to see a list of colours as registered in the fixture same goes for gobo (just the colours and gobo's as in the wheel)

7. Option to add banks for if 8x8 is to few. You could add pages to field screens for added support.

8. Support to add more bundles to one cue so one chase or memory can go instead of 2 types of memories at once

1.  Loadable playback button assignments.

2. The ability to sequence groups in the wizard.

3. Triggering stacks starts cuelists at full intensity.

Fingers crossed...

Hi Guys,

Not sure if this is already possible (I might just not have found out how to do it yet!) but it would be handy if you could playback cues but ONLY target selected fixtures. By which I mean: record a cue targeting many fixtures (like a 'global' cue) and then only playback on the ones that are selected when you start playback.

(ie if you have 2 groups of fixtures, upstage and downstage; instead of recording [Green wash / Red wash / Orange wash / Green up + Red down / Green up + Orange down / Orange up + Red down / Orange up + Green down / Red up + Orange down / Red up + Green down ] you could just record [Global Green / Global Orange / Global Red] and select up or downstage as necessary; with only 3 colours and 2 fixture groups you go from 9 cues to 3 cues and 2 selections; imagine 12 colours and 4 groups!)

This would be really handy for busking live shows, especially for creating colour palettes - would potentially save a lot of button real estate - instead of recording pages of different colour combos, you could mix them live by only playing back certain cues on different selections, using the group select buttons to switch quickly between selections.

Wouldn't be limited to colours either, could be useful for other cues too!

Cheers, S.  :)

@ cicco

I get your point - actually VisualDMX works like this - it's not a easy thing to change because it's not part of the cuelist-system. But I'l have a think about it to see if there is a way.
