New to Cuelux...
Sorry the dumb question, but
BO and Grandmaster are not working here...
If I apply BO, nothing happens until I press the corresponding Cue Play button...
Same goes for the Grandmasterfader
Do I need to assign the Master ?
Please help, ASAP
Thanks and
best regards

Klaus

I don't understand your question.
The Master and B/O Button controls the intensity of the cuelist are running.
If you don't start anything... your stage should be dark. That's normal.

So you first have to patch your fixtures, then create some cues... and than you can control them.

Well, I have patches and everything on the Cuefaders...
Raising Cuefaders puts the LEDs to work.
Lowering the Grandmaster or using the BO button has *NO EFFECT*, like I said.
Do I have to assign the Master / BO ?

TIA

you don' have toa ssign the master fader to anything, it works without anything to do.
What version of cuelux do you use? I tested with 1.03.29 and it's working fine, but the tricks is that when you use the B.O the levels on the fixtures symboles of the patch do not moove, you have to go to the dmx monitor to see that something happens.
So maybe it's because you test cuelux without connecting any device to it that you don't see the BO effect?

The Mac 'about' says 1.03.27 ( 1.03.18 ), as stated earlier...
In Cuelux it says about : 1.03.29

I have hardware attached, it works on the cue faders, why doesn't the Master have an influence on the cue faders ? Only if I press the corresponding play button after I reduced the masterfader...
Moving the masterfader fully up, I have to press the play button again...on each cue...
Are you seriously saying it could still be a fixture / patch problem ?
I use Stairville novaled tri-flood patches, they work on the old IMG LINE PARL56DMX led cans.
This is for testing only...
I get some other led cans...ordered.
In the mean time, I thought to try out, but Masterfader / BO ?

Thanks for help

best

hi Klaus,

The Stairville Novaled personality file is not a 100% match with the Stage Line PAR-56DMX fixture. The Novaled has a separate intensity-channel which the grand master and BO are applied upon; the PAR-56DMX has no dimmer channel so I understand that the grand master  shows no effect.

I wrote a personality file for the PAR-56DMX, please find it attached. Instructions @ http://www.visualproductions.nl/forum/index.php?topic=857.0

cheers,
Maarten

That's a typo on my side, the personality is made for IMG LINE PARL-56DMX.

Okay, I have changed channel 1 into a custom fader 'Mode' . Now you can also access the standalone features.
Please find the file attached.
