Hello,
I recently picked up a Livid OHM RGB and am currently using a modded version of the regular OHM midimap (I wanted my bottom buttons to be flashes for playback faders). Anyway I'd like to see if you could help me make a midimap  that is  similar to what I imagine the Akai APC40 does.

It would be great if say for example, the button would glow white when a playback is available on a button, but inactive(velocity 127). . Green when playing in follow mode (velocity 4-7), yellow when halted,(velocity 1-3)  etc. .

I also plan on using this controller simultaneously with another software and am planning on sending notes to a midi channel in cuelux, and an entirely different midi channel within a VJ software so the notes don't get mixed up. Is there a way without using a 3rd party software to have Cuelux only "listen" to one midi channel?

If the answer is no, what Mac  software would be good for separating the midi channels so that cuelux only "listens" on one channel?

Thanks!

If I can't separate midi channels in Cuelux, it looks like midi patch bay could do it for me.

Normaly you could assign the midi channel in the midi mapping for any midi comand.

By default, is it set to receive on channel 0? Or on all channels?

As i can see in the in the factory livid.xml map it ist default set to channel 0. So you could use another midi channel for different comands.

I was able to send midi on channel 2 to my VJ software, and it Cuelux ignores though messages which is great, but I'd still like a proper midi map for the Livid OHMRGB that behaves more similiarly to the way the ACP40 works. . Can you let me know if making this midi map is in the cards one day?

It would make a killer controller!

Thanks

any possibility we could make a midi map for this like the way I imagine a launch pad would work? I'd really like to see which playback buttons are available by having them light up white while the ones actively playing back are green. That would really help me make the best use of my controller.

Thanks!

I don't want to seam like a pain, but I waned to check in on this. I am now a full time lighting tech and this midi map would map all of the difference to me. . I'd like the buttons on the OHM RGB to glow if playback buttons are available but inactive. I'd like to make my own map though that for example shows the movers as blue, LEDs on green etc. . That way it shows me which cues are related to which groups of fixtures on the 8x8 grid. . So even if you simply explain to me how to send different midi velocity when cues are active or inactive, I could probably finish the rest.

Thanks

Hello Michael,

Sending different velocities is done in code, not the midimap. The new version of Cuelux will have some support for the OhmRGB and is expected to be released at the end of this month.
