Hello

I have no knowledge in lightsystems and not too much about midi either, but I roughly know the basics. Anyway, here is my need;

I have several audiotracks. For each of these tracks, I need to control the lightsettings on the stage. Some lights go off/on/dim at spesific places in the audiotracks.

How can I do this? What kind of products/software do I need?

I am a Mac user, for your information, if software is needed as well (I presume something needs to be programmed).

Thanks for ANY help!

Hi,

You want that at some points in the music that the lights dim or go off.

I would do this just by hand. Just program some lights under a fader in Cuelux (or any other lightconsole), and your good to go.

Kind regards,

Job

hi runecarlsen,

The system you are using to playback the audio tracks, is it capable of sending out MIDI or OSC messages or perhaps SMPTE or MTC timecode?

Our Cuelux software can receive MIDI triggers for changing the lights.

Our new CueCore unit can receive MIDI, OSC triggers or timecode information via SMPTE or MTC.

best regards,
Maarten

Hello Maarten,
any idea when it will be possible to put the light to sound, without a separate midi device?
For example using the built in microphone of your laptop...
Would be the only missing feature on this software.
The smallest 8 channel dmx-mixer uses a built in microphone, so why not this software?
best regards
Stefan
