I just try to program a show with conventional dimmer lights and some AT3/Impression/Mac550 fixtures.

I use bundles for groups (only one Cuelist per fixture type running at one time).

What I didn´t find so far is a possibility to have all those FX-lights on group dimmers or even on a combined LED/ML dimmer to fade out all chases/ cuelists running that use these fixtures. Could not be the Master because white light should ever be up.

If I put them all into one combined bundle I lose the type regarding advantages.

Any suggestions?

Best regards, Cuelux didn´t crash for 2 hours, only the runtime problem came up when I close Cuelux "in an unusual way" nearly every time... :-)

You can make separate groups for each type of lights. When assigned to a playback fader (button will light up blue) it will function as a dimmer for all members of the group.

But: The values are mixed using HTP. So if you have a chase with the dimmer attribute set at 100%, the group fader can't be used to bring the value down because the highest value will always be used.

Thanks for your replies!

As you say: it won´t work.

On a Licon, Scanco or any other desk I know I can use group dimmers so that I´m able to immediately dim down all lights in a group - whenever needed and whatever is running. I just need this simple function to use Cuelux on a lightshow where I don´t have to time to see which cues control my fixtures at the moment.

Like a "master bank" or so for e.g.: front light, back light, all heads, all LEDs, all hazers, all blinders a.s.o. Easy access with an "emergency button" would be helfpul. Or reducable like a cue-window so that you can see if dimmers are up or not and when you click it you´re on the master bank.

"The one that kills them all" (the Grand Master) is not suitable for this job.

Best regards,

Thomas

Hello,

Unfortunately Cuelux has no support for sub-masters.

I'am very very late to answer, but i think the best way to solve this trouble is to put your white light cuelist as a background one and use the global dimmer...
So for you withe light instead of creating a group, ou create a cuelist with one step recording only the maximum dimmer level, then you go on the properties of the cuelist and you set it as background.
This way when you will use the master dimmer fader it will act on all the dimmers exect the ones set in the background cuelist!

Hi Julien, the solution sounds a bit high sophisticated but I will give it a try.

But it doesn´t help me with different groups of Moing lights a.s.o., obnly for traditional white light.

Thanks anyway!
