Hi Dennis

I do own two basic strobes which supply can be turned on/of by switching the power. I also own a Showtec Multiswitch (4 channel) Is it possible to use the STROBE global for switching these strobes using the Multiswitch (channel 1 and 2)

I did try to programm a group but it does not work

Can you help me ?

regards

Hello,

The "Global Strobe" will set the intensity & strobe channel to 100% for all members in the "strobe" group and fixtures of the strobe class
The "Global Blinder" will only set the intensity to 100% for all members of the blinder "group"

If we take the Multiswitch for example, it only has a Shutter attribute, this won't be affected by the global functions. An easy workaround would be to use use a dimmer personality file. For example the Showtec MultiDim or one from the generic library. Or you could download the builder utility to make a custom personality for your situation.

The same counts for the snow machine although I don't know what personality you're using for that one.
