Hello,

What is the best approach to program a serial command string to a device that only accepts Hex values?
It's a Kramer device that only supports commands send in their protocol 2000 format.

I tried a \x7E\x04 type of format, but that didn't work.

A symetrix radius can do serial as well. In the programming software there is a possibility to convert hex signals to ascii. There a ~ character is at the start of a command. When the string is formatted like ~\x04\x81\x80\x80\r
This works on that device, but in Cuelux Pro i can not enter the ~ character.

Any hints?

Hello,

At the moment CP only supports simple strings for RS232.
I've added a link to this post on our todo list.
