Hi There,

My device:
PCB serial number 201251094
PCB version 1.06
Firmware version 1.75

OSC Slave:
Control by Charlie Roberts
http://charlie-roberts.com/Control/?page_id=19

Bundled OSC Messages on CueCore:
What is the status of OSC bundle message implementation for cueCore?
Is there any documentation?

Background:
The App "Control" sends unbundled messages when used on android but sends bundled messages when used on iOS.
I can see bundled messages arrive in cuecore-monitor URI="/#bundle" but no attributes are shown.

Have a look at this printscreen:
http://www.rekorder.ch/Windows_OSC_Monitor.png
It's showing the same messages once not sent as bundle (Column 1 "No bundle") and once sent as bundle (Column 1 e.g. "6-1-12"). As you can see, the content of both message-types is the same (e.g. URI="/rd" and Data1=0.10000). Currently i was only able to get cuecore running based on non-bundled messages.

Best Regards

Schwefel

Here's some additional information:

the raw data simple-type string sent by the application is (works fine):
2F 72 64 00 2C 66 00 00 3D CC CC CD

the raw data bundle-type string sent by the application is (does not work):
23 62 75 6E 64 6C 65 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 0C 2F 72 64 00 2C 66 00 00 3D CC CC CD

to me this seems to be a correct bundle-type message:
- starting with 8 bytes to indicate a bundle message ("#bundle" having a null character at the end to fill the 8 bytes)
- followed by 8 bytes time-tag (which has the value 1)
- followed by 4 bytes data-size (which is 12 here)
- followed by 12 bytes data (which are exactly the same as per the standard/simple message which works fine)

Please provide feedback soon because the installation of the system is coming closer and closer...

HELP!

Thanks for your response,

hi Schewel,

The CueCore currently does not support OSC bundles. I think it would be a good idea if we do add the bundle functionality, however, I cannot give you a timeframe yet when this will be completed.

Hi Maarten,

Thanks a lot for your response. Adding bundle message would be very great. Until then i would suggest to add a comment about OSC restrictions in the manual. This would avoid further people to step into the same trap as i did (Worked out a system concept which can not be realized now as planned).

Best Regards

Fabian

hi Fabian,

We have implemented OSC bundles in the CueCore. Firmware v1.77 (still beta) can be obtained by downloading vManager v1.3.77 from ftp://haarlem.visualproductions.nl/releases.

I welcome your feedback!
