Is it possible to "stack" sequences or cues? For instance, if I want conventionals on all the time while selecting different intelligent scenes, or have a intelligent chase while manual selecting different color schemes of the conventionals.
Hi,
That's no problem in VisualDMX. Every fixture has "attributes" like colour, dimmer, gobo, etcetera. A sequence or preset contains one or more attributes. When a sequence runs or a preset has been applied to fixtures, the programmed attributes are being controlled by the sequence or preset.
When you manually select another colour, gobo, dimmer-setting, or whatever you want, that attribute is immediately changed on your selected fixtures, and the attribute is switched off in the running sequence. If there are no attributes left in the running sequence, it'll stop.
To stack several sequences live (for instance a colour-chase and a circle-movement), select one or more fixtures, start one sequence by double-clicking it in the sequence-view or selecting the sequence and pressing play. Then hold down <ctrl> and double click on the sequence you want to stack on the running sequence(s).
You can also select the fixtures, then select the sequences you want to run by holding down <ctrl>, and then press play.
The VisualDMX software is freely available for download at the
VisualDMX Downloads-page, so just give it a try!
