Hello Paul,
It depends on what you want to achieve which protocol you want to use, but I assume you want to trigger action inside the B-station or change an intensity. In this case the OSC protocol is indeed a really nice way to go. I am using the app called 'Control' (
http://charlie-roberts.com/Control/) a lot, I have heard several people using ThouchOsc and there are many more app using Osc. I recommend to look through the Osc apps and see which user interface you like best. One of the options of the B-station is that you can tell it what Osc message should trigger what action, so the B-stations should be capable to colaberate with any app that is using Osc.
You say you can't get it working, but it depends on the app you are using what you should do. In case you can change the Osc messages send out by the app you can take a look at the Osc template in the B-staion and make the app compatable. In case you can't, it is unlikely that the template matches the messages send out by the app and thus you have to program it your self. The 'learn' function in the B-station then you big friend.
Finaly, please make sure you are running the newest version of the firmware (if you download the newest vesion of the vManager the newest version of the firmware is included).
Please let me know if this helps,
Kind regards,
Jurrien
