I am a self taught lighting designer. I have been using Elation Emulation (same as Cuelux) for about 1.5 years and have almost reached my 512 channels and also feel ive learned all there is to know about the software (reached a brickwall) My question is , how bad is the learning curve from Cuelux to Cuelux pro ? Is it much different ? What are some things I need to be aware of when switching to Pro ? Also , I will plan on leaving the Elation line and using the Visual Productions line of products as I feel these Forums are more up to date. But when/if I do upgrade, what is different ?

Thanks
Russ

Dear Russ,

I think that when you are fluent with Cuelux/Emulation then you master about 50% of CueluxPro/EmulationPro. So in a way should be comfortable with all the basics (patching, cues, playbacks) while there is there is room to learn as well (matrix, palettes, actions, timecode).

best regards,
Maarten
