Hi VP team,

for a special project I need this function:

Source: GPI channel -> Binary On/off switch
Action: GPO channel -> On/Off Pulse with a delay for the Off-trigger below 1 sek.)
Just to explain: Every closed GPI contact should trigger an external media player via GPO. But unfortunately the media player doesn't recognize input (switch) signals with a delayed Off-trigger. So the time delay should be very short.

Maybe there is any workaround?

BR

Hello Frank,

Maybe you can use a timer to achieve the delay? Please let me know if you need help in setting this up.

Hello Frank,

Sorry for the late response. Just to give you some inspiration, this is what I had in mind:

-SystemStartuptimer[1]->set [delaytime]
-GPIchannel 1timer[1]->restart
GPO[1]->Set Value (On)
-Timerchannel 1GPO[1]->Set Value (Off)/td]

Note that this will only give a pulse on one channel, namely channel 1. However, it is easily extendable to the number of channels you need. Also, the first action (with source 'System') is to give the timer some initial value you can restart from.
Hope this helps.
best regards,

Jurrien
