I am using UDP triggers to playback tracks saved on the QuadCore all of which are static scenes.

Is it possible to trigger a track with out linking it to a playback (as used to be the case with the CueCore)?

If not is it possible to increase the number of playbacks from 6?

If not is it possible to reassign a track to a playback from a UDP trigger?

Many thanks

Hello Tim,

The CueCore has Playbacks like the QuadCore does, however these are implicit. Whenever you would start a Recording, a Playback is attached to the Recording and will play it back. This is not visiable for the user, however it's still there. Both CueCore and QuadCore have a limmited number of Playbacks, the difference here is that the CueCore has 4 implicit Playbacks that are attached to Recordings and QuadCore has 6 explicit Playbacks which can play Tracks. The number of Playbacks determine the number of Tracks (for QuadCore) or Recordings (for CueCore) that can play simultaneously.

From your post I think you are not looking to play many Track simultaneously, but just jump from one Track to another. What you can do is use one Playback with Cues for every Track you want to play back. Then use the Transport task type in the Show Control to jump between Cues.

Please let me know whether I understood your intentions right and whether this tackles your problem.

The transport jump function works perfectly on your online unit, but on the units I have here the jump function does not trigger the play back, executing a playback using the go+ command and then a jump command works unless using a cue value of greater than 2.

The online unit has a firmware version of 1.05, having just downloaded the latest version of vmanager the highest version to upgrade to is 1.02. Are there differences in the two versions?
Are the other parameters I need to setup.

Many thanks

Tim.

Hello Tim,

Please verify that you are running vManager v1.4.6 (shown in the right bottom of the vManager screen). This should include a firmware version v1.05 for the QuadCore. This firmware includes a bug fix for the problem you encounter.
Best regards,
