Hello
We have made a new lighting system in our theater lobby.
The system is controlled by CueCore and  B-Station.
We have programmed cues with  Cuelux Pro and dumped cues to Cue Core
We like controlled cuelists/cues with B-Station. It does not work.
How can we patch B-station and CueCore together. We have read the manual, but we cant solve the problem.
We can see both with V-manager and adjust parameters.

Hello Juha,

To control cues on CueCore you will have to use show control.
This can be done by adding an action to the Button actionlist in B-Station.
In the action you can set the trigger type to select which button will starts this action.
Then add an OSC task.
Select the Send feature and the Control function.
In parameter 1 you can set a message that CueCore will receive.

In the settings page of the B-Station you will have to set one of the out IP addresses of OSC to the address and port of CueCore. For example 192.168.1.11:8000.
You can find the IP address and OSC port on the settings page of CueCore.

The last step is to add an action to the OSC actionlist in CueCore.
Select the trigger type Message and click Change.
Now enter the same message you used in B-Station.
Then add an Recorder task.
Select the feature Intensity and the function toggle.
The first parameter is used to select the recording this task will control, and the second parameter is set to 100%.

At this point a button on B-Station should control a recording on CueCore.

If you have any more question feel free to ask them.

Best regards,
Guido

Hello Juha,

I have suggested to use a custom action because templates replaces any other actions which you have programed already. Which I did not what to do. Because I do not know if you already have created actions linked to buttons. But if this is not the case you can use the template.

Otherwise you can manually configure what should happen if a button is pressed.
If you select the Button in the Sources list and click the add button it will be moved to the Actionlist. At this point you can click on the add button of the action types. Then you can select the action and click the Edit button.

Which brings us to the editing window. Where can select the trigger type. (by default Button for this source) And the trigger value which is use to select the button. We have assigned every button with a number. 1 top left, 2 top right, 3 middle left, 4 middle right, 5 bottom left, 6 bottom right.
You can also click on Learn which will allow you to press one of the physical buttons on B-Station. Which will than be configured automatically as the input for the action.

If you are referring to:
...
In parameter 1 you can set a message that CueCore will receive.
...
Now enter the same message you used in B-Station.
...
This message is just a text which you may chose yourself. Like “/Start”, “/Stop”, “/Hello” or ”/some text”. I would recommend something you can remember like “/Start Cue”.

Guido
