Hi,

So, I did a quick search in the forums and manual, but could´t find the info - on how to put your unit online, for instance if it´s behind 20 firewalls and a big network run by a strict IT dept. at City Hall..

Give them the Mac address and a big "please", and receive an IP? Assistance appreciated :)

Hello,

The units do not have options to make them visible from the Internet.

There are other ways to make a unite visible.
- Port forwarding. This does require the IT department to help you.
- A Virtual Private Network.
However if there are 20 firewalls in between the unit and the Internet there is a big change that the IT department does not want you to create Virtual Private Network.

Information like the Mac address can be found on the home page of the unit if required.

Best regards,
Guido

Just an update on our solution - we chose the easy and safe way to make the IT team happy:
If I need to look at or work on the QuadCore, I´ll just hook up to their networked machines via TeamViewer, and work remotely.
So I´ll just program on a QC at home, and paste an XML file to their computer, and hit Restore on vManager on their machine.
Voila, everybody´s happy :)
