CueLuxPro - Akai LDP-8

Hello all,

I've just taken over resident DJ of a nightclub running and old CueCore 1 CueLuxPro setup. I have an Akai LDP-8 midi controller but there doesnt seem to be a mapping file as it doesn't show up in the potential maps within the CueLuxPro software. I do know you guys support it though.

Is there a file I can download from somewhere to manually add it to the software?

Hello @UK_DJ,

Unfortunately, if it is not in the list we do not have it. But we can put it in the list of todos and see if its possible to make it without the actual midi controller.

Alternative, you can see one of the other midi maps and how they work for inspiration and make it this way.

Midi-map of the AKAI-LPD8 would be nice!

The Akai LDP-8 is not produced anymore so we will not create a midi map for it, but if you can provide us the list of the middi messages of the Akai LDP-8 MKII, we should be able to create the the midimap.

Hi, is it possible to get a midi map for the LPD8 where the buttons control light colours and also have strobe attached to it?
i.e
Button 1  - Colour White
Button 2  - Colour Blue
Button 3  - Colour Red
Button 4  - Colour Pink
Button 5  - Strobe
Button 6  - Scroll Gobos
Button 7 - Scroll  Shapes
Button 8  - Blackout

We do not have an existing midimap file for the AKAI LDP-8, and we don't plan to create it as it is not distributed anymore.

If you want to use this midi controller with Cuelux Pro, you can try to create the file by yourself using the Cuelux pro midi monitor to know the messages sent by the controller and use the existing file as example.
