Hi Maarten, hope you are well and looking forward to PLASA.

I have an urgent request. I am doing a show tomorrow using various ROBE lighting. I have tested the ROBE Beam 250XT fixture and there is no frost filter function on the software. According to Robe it should be as follows:

Channel 4 - Dimmer

0              Closed,Light is full Off
1-126      Smooth dimming from black to full open
127          Full open-sharp beam
128-192  Smooth dimming from full open to black
193-254  Smooth dimming from black to full open (frost light)
255          Full open-frost(wash) light

Is there any chance that you can send me an update for this fixture ?

Regards,

Shane

Hi Shane,

Thanks for your post, I'm sorry for this late reply.

Having the frost-function within the dimmer-channel is quite uncommon. Our software does not support combined frost and dimmer.

However, we can enable the full-frost function. I've updated the Robe personality-file with the "Full open-frost(wash) light" function. So, you can use frost, but you canĀ“t dim with the frost on (doing so will cause the frost to switch off again).

You'll find the updated Robe personality-file attached to this forumpost (only visible when you're logged in).

Regards,

Jeroen

I think this is where you need to see the DMX values for when you are using certain functions such as the dimmer as you could then ensure when you move the dimmer slider it is at a value that allows the frost function as well as the dimming.
There is no darkside, it is all dark.
