Announcement: Cuety V2 - Major Software Update ?

Hi Maarten, hi Michael,

do we see an update soon? - There were so many requests concerning usability and some more features in this forum, e.g.:

- Zoom-feature or larger controls for the pan/tilt box and faders
- Better possibility to adjust the speed of chases and FX's (+/- 10 % for speed is not enough)
- TAP sync / TAP tempo

...just to mention some of the most requested. But the first point is essential. .

However, Michael mentioned, that these topics are on the "wishlist". So, what can we expect to see? And when???

An update is really necessary for me to fully use my LPU. Especially subfixture support is something I really miss. More than 2 Custom 'parts' per fixture is also a must (maybe only show parts that actually exist in the fixture? i.e. If I just want to dim 1 channel, and do a custom on a 2nd channel, I do not need to see any other sliders for RGBW etc.) . I can work with my Showtec Shooter 180's by addressing everything individually but it's a pain and takes up a whole lot of fixture slots.

I'm really looking forward to any updates!

I would like to address your direct points about features, I hope to provide clarity but also realise there will be a level of disappointment for you in my doing so.

- Zoom-feature or larger controls for the pan/tilt box and faders
* this is a good idea and we have kept it on the wish list.  However the work involved to do this cannot be a priority at the moment, it is not a small task. Realistically you can't count on it being done but maybe with luck we can surprise you in the future.

- Better possibility to adjust the speed of chases and FX's (+/- 10 % for speed is not enough)
* the speed knob currently allows from -100 to 100, do you mean to increase this scope or do you want a different way to change the speed?

- TAP sync / TAP tempo
* this requested feature is not in the planning

- Subfixtures support
* Cuety is not made to support Subfixtures and will not be. If you wish to have subfixture support please consider stepping up to the Cuelux software however Cuelux is not available for tablet control...

We do appreciate your using our products and we certainly would rather just say "Yes" to every request but sadly that is not possible.  A couple of months ago we did make a new release with some bug fixes that makes Cuety a good stable product to use.  A further release with potential new features is not yet in the programming cycle for my colleagues, the wish list is live and will be addressed when my colleagues time is available for the next Cuety cycle.
