I'm looking into a new lighting Setup and I'm very interested in Cuelux.
My Scope is on stage lighting for Live Bands.

But there are 2 Versions of the Software. Cuelux and Cuelux Pro.
There is a lot of information on cuelux but only little on the Pro version.
At the moment I can't even find it on the Website.

How can I decide ifi it si worth spending more money on the Pro version?
Is the Pro version still available?
is there a comparison Sheet which shows me the difference between the 2 Versions?

Hi,

How many universes would you need?
Cuelux is limited to 1 universe. CueluxPro has more, depending on how many CueCore's and QuadCore's you hook up to it.
CueluxPro also has the ability to make a matrix and play effects over it.
It has Showcontrol built in, for  MIDI/GPI/UDP/OSC etc.

You can have a look at the software by downloading it from the website. You won't be able to get any signal like DMX out of it without some Visual Productions hardware though.
But you can check out the full software. Same goes for Cuelux by the way.

Greetings,
Bootsy

But Cuelux Pro does NOT have 'The Wizard'  ::) Am I right? Can't find it..

And could one use Cuelux in combination with a CueCore?

The Wizard is still available in Cuelux Pro. ANd you will also have the Matrix control tool, and the possibility to use fixtures with more than 10 subfixtures compare to Cuelux.

Cuelux works only with the CueCable or the Cuelux box.
The Cuelux pro software works withe the CueCore2, QuadCore and Cuecore3. And you can use those interfaces also as standalone products, recording some DMX content inside their memory and then play it depending on various triggers like a scheduler for example.

I figured out the answers with some help:

The Wizard is still mentioned in the manual of Cuelux Pro (chap. 6.5) because it was there in previous versions. However due to a bug it' s no longer in cuelux pro. So the actual manual (jan 2024) needs an update..

Also: a cuecore will not work the program Cuelux, you will need cuelux pro.

To find the wizard in CueluxPro, go to "Memories", then "Cuelist". The wizard is in the menu on the left.
(A quick way to do it is to press "F8, F1, w")
