Hello,

Is it possible that you can get me a new fixture file, for my new laser.

Its a Laserworld disco 500G

down here i have a table with the dmx values

channel Function

         209 animated sound mode (see above); 210-255 DMX mode
2       Pattern   ( there where no values so i thested it with a dimmer in visual dmx, based on 0-100 there is a figure at every single value including 0)
3       Effect channel: Strobe
4       Horizontal movement: 0 no effect; 1-167 (fixed)
         movement; 168-188 animated movement left to
         right with increasing speed; 189-209 do. Right
         to left; 210-255 do. left to right and back
5       Vertical movement: analogous to hor. movem.
6       Zoom: 0-10 no effect; 11-104 increasing size;
         105-154 growing with increasing speed; 155-
          204 do. shrinking; 205-255 do. growing/shrinking
7       Width (rotation about y): 0-150 fixed rotation;
         151-255 automatic rotation with incr. speed
8       Height (rot. About X): analogous to width
9       Rotation: 0-180 fixed rotation; 181-217
         automatic with incr. speed clockwise; 218-255
         do. counter clockwise
10     Blanking: 0-70 no effect; 71-139 points are

Hi Edwin,

I've attached the new Laserworld-file to this forumpost (please login if you can't see it). The special-functions can be found in the live-view at the "Custom" tab.

Please test the file with your laser, my experience with Laserworld-lasers is that the manual most of the time does not correspond to the real DMX-implementation of the laser.

This file is written for the most recent non-beta software version, available on the VisualDMX website.
Please make sure VisualDMX is not running. Then, copy the (attached) personality file into your ‘VisualDMX\Fixtures’ directory (usually located in C:\Program Files\Visual Productions), overwriting the old one. When you start up VisualDMX the new file will be loaded.

Be aware that the, especially newly created, personality file that has been written for you has not been tested on the actual fixture. It is therefore always advised to test the personality file before using it in live shows.

Regards,

Jeroen

If test it today, and everything looks ok for now. Exept that not al the build in gobos are reachable. i can select now only out of 70 gobos. But there are 100 in there.

If tested it with a dimmer in visual dmx and on every dmx value of channel 2 there is a gobo  (based on 1 to 100 and not 255)

I hope you can fix this little thing.

Thx allready,  Edwin
