Hi,

Which version of Emulation are you using to test this?

If this is a change in the midi map, the solution could be to copy the working midi map from documents/Elation/Emulation/midimaps/factory/akai to the Visual Productions/Cuelux/midimap/user/ folder.  It  should then appear as an extra item on the list in Cuelux (after restarting the software)
If this does not solve it, the issue is likely introduced into the software at some point, and needs to be fixed. (Emulation software has been discontinued for a long time, so there is quite some difference between Cuelux and Emulation nowadays)

Greetings,
Bootsy

Hi,

Alright, that means it is a software issue, I will add a bug to the list.

Thanks, and happy holidays!

Hi,

Actually, there is one more thing you can try. In the midi map, inside the Akai APC mini there is this line:

<action>
    <trigger type="Midi" specifier="Change">Channel 0 - Message 9 - Index 98</trigger>
    <tasks>
        <task type="Special" feature="Blackout" function ="Control"/>
    </tasks>
</action>

That might need changing to:

<action>
     <trigger type="Midi" specifier="Down">Channel 0 - Message 9 - Index 98</trigger>
         <tasks>
             <task type="Special" feature="Blackout" function ="Toggle"/>
         </tasks>
</action>

I added the modified file, could you give it a try and let me know?
Edit: for the properly updated file, see my post below.

Please note that the office is closed next week, I will respond after that.

Greetings,
Bootsy

Hi there ,

we have the same problem. After an update, the Blackout-Button on the APC-Mini only works while pressed.

I have tryied to change the Mini-Map from "Control"  to "Toggle" but it doesn't change the problem. :(

maybe there is a "hardcoded" line  for Blackout in cuelux while reading the xml-file from the akai.xml? ;)
Greeting,

 your Cuefux

Hi,

The description of how to fix this in my post above is working properly, however... I see I made a mistake with the file I uploaded.
I updated the file and added it to this post. I tested it here with the APC mini and the blackout button works properly.
It will be included in the next release as well.

Greetings,
Bootsy

Hello,
I have tested again Bootsy midi map file and the blackout button is working perfectly as a toggle button.
Which version of cuelux are you using? (Last version is 1.6.6)
I have seen with your other post that you are doing modifications on the midi map files, maybe could you give it a try just putting the akai.xml file Bootsy made into the "user" folder, with no other files and see if it works this way.

In "Bootsy van der Zande" previous post ( June 27th 2022), at the bottom of the message there is an "akai.xml" file you can download,

Got it, fixed that. Found I had the code in twice.

Just need to get the Select and Clear working now.

Thanks

Saw someone say they had problems with the "Blackout' fader twitching when using the APCmini controller.

I still get this with the updated midi file.

If Blackout is used it actually lowers the Master fader a little.

Yes sadly this is a known problem with this midi controller.
It's on the todo list to investigate deeper about this, but for know I cannot tell you when it will be fixed.
