Timecore - create a loop running for xx hours

Hello,

I try to use the Timecore to create a loop of XX duration running for YY duration, to drive some CueCore recorded cues and also some lasers via Artnet timecode.

But so far no real success, I did many trials with Timer and Variables :
1. Button action =>  Set Variable to 0 / Timecode start / Timer set to XX duration / Timer start
2. Timer action => Timer restart (at every timer expiration) / Timecode restart / Variable increase
3. Variable action => At YY trigger value : Stop Timer / Stop + resetTimecode

But so far it isn't realiable enough, sometimes it works, sometimes it stop earlier than the defined YY duration, sometimes it run past the defined loop time...

Is there maybe a smarter way to do this?

Are you trying to loop the timecode? So repeating the same piece of timecode for an X amount of times?

Hello Bootsy,

Yes exactly, goal is to start a timecode loop at startup of the Timecore (as there is no real time feature on this one), and repeat the same timecode loop for X amount of time.

Both the timecode duration and the total duration must be configurable, so i.e. I can start the show at 5pm and stop it a 10pm. And if possible, terminate the timecode properly (at the end of its duration, not somewhere in the middle).

Do you have some suggestions?

Hi,

I think I would put the restart action of the timecode in a userlist. Then you can use a timer to disable the userlist, and thus have the timecode run until the end.

For example, you want to restart the timecode at timecode value 01:02:00.00, you add the action to set it to the start to a userlist. To trigger this, you add an action to the timecode list at 01:02:00.00. In that action you add the task "Action - Link" and select the action you made in the userlist.

Now with the timer you can use the task "Actionlist - Enable" to enable/disable the userlist. Any link to an action in the userlist is ignored when the userlist is disabled.
