My Cuecore1 thinks, after 5 sec without power, that it is 15 Feb 3585.
Is there anything I can do about this?

Hi Joost,

I think the battery might be dead. I will have to check to be sure, but I believe it is a CR2032-like battery on the PCB. You can reach it by removing the four screws underneath the rubber feet. If you are careful with the rubber feet, they will probably stick on fine afterwards.
Let me know if you need more help.

Greetings,
Bootsy

Can the battery be the reason so many of my QuadCore and CuCore installs lose track of time all the time?
Clock is all wrong, output freezes, I gotta send a service tech to update time/date in vManager. Gets expensive.

Hi Joost,

The CueCore2 and QuadCore actually use a supercapacitor instead of a battery. This capacitor charges while the CueCore2/QuadCore is powered and should make sure the device keeps its time for at least a day when without power.

Please make sure you upgrade to the latest firmware using (a fresh download of) vManager. There were some issues with some past firmwares where the time could get lost a lot quicker when without power.

Greetings,
Bootsy
