Hi
Is it possible to set fadetimes when controlling DMX-values with the IOcore2?
Best regards
Viktor

Hi Viktor,

I'm afraid there is no way to set fade times on a DMX channel on the IoCore2.

There is sort of a workaround using variables with continues increment/decrement, but it is quite limited and complicated.

Greetings,
Bootsy

Hi there

I have used both IoCore and IoCore2 in similar ways, they recieve a UDP or OSC message to increase/decrease intensity.

IoCore stopps when reaching 0 or 100%, perfect.

IoCore2 loops around, When it reaches 0% it does not stop, the next impulse makes it jump to 100% and vice versa. How come and how do I make it stop doing it?

Kind regards // Anders

The best way would be to use your UDP or OSC message to control a variable instead of direct intensity.
The variable will not loop when it reach 0 or 255.
Then create a variable action list, and list the variable to directly control the intensity.
enjoy ;)

Hi All,

a late reply but hopefully useful for anyone with similar needs in future. Please find attached two IOcore2 backups which I created for controlling cinema lighting. The first uses delta for timing ( not long enough for super slow cinema salle dimming ) and the second uses a timer for really long fades.
Also attached my explanation of how the timer version works ( in french)
all the best

Andy
