Good evening everyone,

I wanted to try and create some cuelists as different strobe globals because the default strobe global with its one zone and one strobe speed (whatever the highest is the fixture will go) at whatever color the fixture is currently set to isnt really what I want.
Sadly I have run into two main problems:
1. There appears to be no way to specify wich cuelist should take importance when two or more are running at the same time.
2. There appears to be no way to modify the release behavior of a cuelist, what I would be looking for would be the ability to set the cuelist to only run while the button is depressed and stop immediately when let go of.

The effect I would like to achieve would be a whole rig random strobe cuelist as well as multiple smaller strobe/effect cuelists (like fast breathing or similar) for different areas like in truss lighting or different peripheral venue lights strobing independently of, or in tandem with, the main truss.
I would also like to adjust the strobe speeds of the different fixtures Independently to get a more structured and uniform look.
These would then be triggered live over preprogrammed lighting depending on the music.

If i understand you right you would like to to have a flash button triggering the strobe on your fixtures each of them with a different value/speed?
To do that it is quite easy, just create one cue in an empty fader playback with the strobe parameter of all your fixtures set the way you like, and do forget to also include the intensity parameter to full.

Go into the settings of the playback and activate the "fader start" option.
Put the fader to 0, and now when using the flash button underneath the fader it will directly start the playback and put all intensities to full.

I hope this will help you,

It appears like my thought process was way to complicated so first of all thank you.
Now second of all I believe I haven’t made myself quite clear:
What I am worried about is that the triggered cue won’t cleanly overwrite an already running cuelist.
For example if I had a or multiple cuelists active controlling moving head positions, colors and color Fades of my par lights would this then effectively always running cuelist interfere with that?
I don’t want to only control strobe speed but also color and maybe position with that cuelist.

ok, I understand, sorry I did not catch this "priority" point in your previous message.

Sadly there is not way to set priorities between the playback, most of the parameters will be merged using HTP priority rules ( highest takes priority). Only Color and gobo wheel parameters will be merged LTP ( Latest takes priority).

In this case it works fine with the dimmer and strobe channel ( as long as the strobe value is higher than the "open" value) but will give you random results if you are using RGB color mixing.

If you plan on continuing development for cuelux beyond bug fixes I believe this would be a handy feature to add!
