Hi

Just wondering if it’s possible to lower the output level/volume of the SMPTE LTC Out on the timecore?

We have it feeding into an audio interface and it’s completely clipping the input and we are dropping frames on the receiving computer. No amplification is happening on the interface, it’s set to line level and gain is all the way down.

Happening on a Focusrite Solo and also a Komplete Audio 6

Thanks

Update: The output level is so high it seems to clip on anything I plug it into.

Is there a specified dBu/Voltage the output level is set to? I may be able to verify if my unit is performing correctly with a multimeter.

Hello Jack,

There are no setting to change the output levels of SMPTE LTC port of TimeCore.
I have not head of people having a problem because of this.
As most equipment tries to decode the block wave signal by reading the high an low parts.
Because it only encodes two levels (high and low) the exact level is less important then normal audio.

Can you verify the signal which is received still receives a high an a low part.

Kind regards,

hmm same problem over here for sure,
going in 3 pin and out 3 pin and the out is super super hot, so that the focusrite audio interface can't read it.  If i plug straight into focusrite it reads it no problem
