Hey everyone,

I would like to trigger my etc console via Ableton and between is the Timecore.

From the Ableton-Mac comes a network cable into the timecore and from the timecore comes a midi cable into the console. Is that right? Or can I also connect the Console with a network cable via a network switch?
I´m not shure what kind of signal I need to send where.

The Goal is that the soundguy starts a track on the Ableton Mac and my console starts a cue or a timecode.

What is the easiest way?

That will mainly depends on which timecode protocol your console can manage.
If it can manage Art-net Timecode, then you can have everything going thought the network.

The console can recive MTC and Smpte.

Is it possible to send a smpte signal from Ableton to the timecore via a network cable?
And then with a midi cable from timecore to the console.

And if so, do I still need any hardware on the part of Ableton to send the smpte signal via the network cable?

From what I read from the Ableton website, the software cannot directly send SMPTE or Midi timecode, in both case you need to go through "complex" procedures to make it working.
If you succeed to output SMPTE or Midi Timecode from Ableton, non of those protocols can be transmitted via a network cable.
SMPTE needs an audio cable,  and MIDI a MIDI cable.

If you absolutely want to send timecode over the network would be to use RTP-Midi on your computer running Ableton.
RTP midi is MIDI over the network, doing this you will be able to connect your computer to the TimeCore via the network, and then use the TimeCore to convert  RTP MIDI into SMPTE for your console.
