Hello everyone,

I have a Timecore and yesterday I tried, without success, to configure RTP-MIDI.

Current status:
   •   I successfully set a static IP on the Timecore
   •   I can access the Timecore via web browser without any issues
   •   RTP-MIDI is enabled and configured in the Timecore web interface, with the device set as a participant

However, when I try to configure RTP-MIDI on:
- macOS (Audio MIDI Setup)
- Windows (Tobias Erichsen RTP-MIDI)

The Timecore never appears in the Bonjour device list

I’ve ruled out firewall issues because:
- Other RTP-MIDI devices on the same network appear correctly via Bonjour
- I temporarily disabled firewalls for testing, with no change

I also tried connecting manually via IP:
- Port 5004
- Port 6xxxx (as mentioned in the manual)

Results:
- Port 5004: session does not establish
- Port 6xxxx: I get an error saying the device refused the session connection

Despite this, everything appears correctly  configured (I tthink) on the Timecore side (via the web UI).

Hi Kristey,

To set up the TimeCore as an RTP-MIDI session participant, make sure to not only select 'participant' in the TimeCore's web interface, but also set the session name to what you have configured under 'Bonjour name' of the session in the MIDI Network Setup on your Mac.
After a few seconds of waiting, you should see it arrive in the list of participants.

Also, of course, make sure the TimeCore and the RTP-MIDI host are in the same (sub)net(work) (or have the correct access to each other)

If the information above is insufficient to make this work, drop us a line via email on  support [at] visualproductions [dot] nl.

Cheers,
