Hello!

I've got CueCore3 + SPI nodes setup with RGBW digital LED strips.
Physical 5-32.universe are all used for those LED strips almost 3000 pixels in total.
The programming console is GrandMA3, and  from that all LED strips are patched 33-60.universe and in cuecore3 art-net settings taken as input universes 2.1-3.12, but output universes 0.5-2.0.
In CueCore3 Monitor ArtNet inputs shows that values are taken in, but Output doesn't show in monitor tables neither seen as physical light output.
In CueCore3 Showcontrol Art-Net is added to actionlists, from tepmlates Receiving Art-Net and Art-Net Playbacks are added.

How it's possible to get a visual output? Did we have missed something at Showcontrol section?

It only works if MA3 Artnet universes matches CueCore3 Output universe.  Which in settings it shows that it is not recommended to do by turning orange. It may cause problems, which is seenable in Input monitor.

Hi! And good to hear you are using our new SpiNode. We hope that you will enjoy working with them.

From what I read in your description, it might be that in the Art-Net settings, the 'forward' slider has not been enabled. Could you confirm that?

If that is not the fix for you, then please send us a backup of your CueCore3 via email ( support [at] visualproductions [dot] nl ) and we'll take it form there.

Cheers,

Hi both, we've had all kinds of strange challenges with CueCore and Artnet. These have been resolved in two ways: the easy way (and not so elegant) has been to switch traffic from Art-Net to sACN. The other (and correct) way has been to remove all broadcast traffic from the network (use only unicast). Usually even a single broadcast-enabled universe blocks all traffic.

Hi Juha,

Thank you for your contribution. Indeed, depending on the network devices used and their settings, broadcasting may be blocked.

However, another consideration is that CueCore3 does not, at this point in time, allow for direct throughput from one Art-Net universe to another. When that universe is the 5th or higher. So to record the scene while viewing the content on your RdmNode or SpiNode, set the node to the same Art-Net universe(s) that the CueCore is receiving, and output to for instance your subnet broadcast address (192.168.1.255, for instance).

We realise that this is an inconvenience, and are working on a solution for it.

Have a good weekend!

If by "forward" slider you mean Showcontrol / actionlists / Art-Net (enable slider) Yes, that is active.

Tried unicast - didn't help.

We ended up programming effects in GrandMA3 with same in/out Art-Net universes. There were not much visual issues. Just sometimes were few white flashes in random pixel groups. So, before recording MA3 effects in CueCore3 tracks, we changed  ArtNet input universes to 33.-60. Thus recording like in blind - only in MA3 layouts was seen what is recording. Recorded tracks played very well. No problems.

Thank you for replying here and in email. This was helpful. :)
