Hello,

I want to control 24 Dali fixtures (RGBWAF) with the DaliCore.
Controlling from the DaliCore webserver works perfectly, the Dali-side is correct.

But my input-signal is a DMX-signal, and there the troubles start.

I can make Showcontrol => DMX input and for example take the template DMX to Dali channel.
This way I can control the feature "Intensity" of my Dali fixture with the a DMX channel, this works.
But my DMX channels are:
1: red
2: green
3: blue
4: white.
5... next fixtures

How do I connect those individual DMX-channels to the RGBW of my Dali fixtures?

I tried The feature RGB but this takes only one DMX-channel????

Thanks in advance!

Dieter

Hello , I am sorry to read that you are having some problems configuring your DaliCore.

I think the problem is coming from the fact that your Dali Devices are DT8. So each Device use 1 address for the 4 color parameters.
This is why the DMX to Channel template doesn't work.

To solve that, you would have to switch your devices type to DT6. Then you would have one address per parameter allowing you to control everything via DMX. But 24 devices x 4 channels is higher than the 64 addresses that you can manage with 1 Dali Bus.

For the RGB parameter of the Fixture task, it is expecting a color Hex code as parameter to be able to control a device color, And for now there is no possibility to directly a color channel in a Dali device from on DMX channel.
To stay in the limits of the DALI protocol that is quite constraining, the best would be to create some groups of devices with some color presets. making one DMX value calling one color of a group of devices.

I am sorry I do not have a perfect answer for you, but mixing DALI and DMX is always tricky.

Hello,

The project has to be finished by monday evening.
Because of the importance of this project, I've called to a person at Visual Productions before ordering, he said me that it would work....

I have to get it working.

Is there a possible solution with the XY-values?

kind regards,

I am sorry, but I do not have any better solution for you now,
The DaliCore can convert DMX to DALI, but they are different protocols and it's not always possible to make a straight conversion.
As I said in my previous message, if you really want to have individual control of all the color channels via DMX the only way would be to have a DT6 driving addressing an address to each parameter. And maybe the current driver you are using can be set as it.
