Hej there,

I am a teacher and we will probably get a LPU-1 Cuety which we are offered to control with an iPad. Is there any chance to use physical buttons to trigger a couple of playbacks/light settings? If not, is it possible to send certain commands with the help of an ESP32? I've read that LPU-2 can send UDP/OCS/HTTP, but we won't get a LPU-2.

edit: I've found the B-Station2. Is there something similiar regarding the LPU-1?

Hello Karl,

Thank you for your question :)

With the LPU-1 there is unfortunately no supported way to trigger Cuety playbacks from physical buttons, B-Station2, ESP32, OSC, UDP, TCP or HTTP. The LPU-1 is intended to be controlled from the Cuety App or Cuety Remote App.

For an LPU-1 setup, the best workaround would be to use Cuety Remote on a phone or tablet as a simple playback button panel.

If real physical buttons or external network commands are required, then I would recommend using an LPU-2 instead. The LPU-2 supports OSC, UDP, TCP and HTTP, so it can be controlled by a B-Station2, ESP32 or similar external device.

Hope this helps!

Thanks a lot. It took some effort, but I was able to convince the school district to buy the lpu-2 unit.
