Hello,
I have been using the Dalicore connected via a direct DMX line to my ChamSys QuickQ 30 for a while now. It works wonderfully to control, but unfortunately, I’m running into an issue regarding how the Dalicore behaves during a signal loss.
Whenever the DMX value is greater than 0, and I unplug the DMX cable from the lighting console or turn the console off, all DALI lights turn off! (The entire hall goes completely dark), regardless of whether they were running at 100% or 50%.
On the other hand, if the value is 0 (everything dark) and I unplug the DMX cable, all DALI lights turn on after about 3 seconds.
I have already tried everything possible in the settings (failure level to 254, power-on level to 254) and looked into the triggers as well.
During our theater performances, I’ve been working around this by unplugging the cable at the end of the show while the lights are still set to 0. However, there has to be a solution so that even if the lights are at 50% or 80%, a signal loss immediately causes them to go to 100%. (This is crucial, because in the event of a power outage during a show, all the lights need to jump back to 100% right away).
I have already studied the entire manual and couldn't find anything.
My DALI lights are divided into 4 groups, and I’ve assigned a DMX address to each group (this is necessary because our event hall is split into multiple zones).
Maybe someone here can help me out.
Kind regards
