Hi

Im very close to buy this software, its very wonderfull.. finally a nice controller for MAC (!) and windows. But it needs some missing feature before i buy it.

Im wishing all the best for this project, i know many companys here that needs something like this!

i saw another post about wishlist, heres mine.

1. Focus palletes, updateable!!   saveing points for each device in one palette.
2. Chase presets, modifyable.   lets say you have a ring and you could move/delete/add points to the track etc...?
3. Multimonitor support. Almost as GrandMA, but your slick design ;)
4. group hotkeys, adressable to midi controllers. Maybe this is already featured?
5. Notes, a simple notepad/wordpad list for simple notes.
6. Clock ;)
7. Simple stage layout, as the ETC congo consoles.  Very usefull to find a fixture fast.
8. sequenser, timecode triggable by CD/Midi/soundfiles!! Lightshows here we come, very usefull.

API FOR DEVELOPERS, plugins etc.

Hope santa will see this! :P

btw, is it possible to use more usb-dmx cables for multible universes?   If thats not possible, i would like that one also ;)

Why don't you just use notepad / word?  ::) You can use a piece of paper also  :P

6. Clock ;)
Good idea :) Maybe a good replacement for the 'desklight' ??

I like to have everything in fullscreen implented in the show. Also very usefull for backup and editing shownotes, wich paper is not so very good at ;)

Okay, you convinced me ;)
But I think that other things have some more priority :)

One addition:
Maybe something like a timeline for adding and editing cuelists? :) ::)

One more addition:
Ability to add  XX.X cue numbers (like cue 2.1, 2.2 and so on).
I feel this very important and not too hard to implement

Wow you just gave a year's more work!  ;)

In seriousness, I think your suggestions are very valid, however, Cuelux is not the right product for all of the features. Please keep in mind the concept of Cuelux: simplicity, Entry-level.

However:
- a clock will be available in the next release
- group hotkeys can simply be done by assigning groups to the playback buttons
- XX.x cuelists I think are not that necessary because you can insert cues in any position in the cuelist. And you can change the order of the cues. Or am I missing another reason behind XX.X feature?

The other features are more appropriate a 'larger' product.

PS. Could you expand a little on the 'chase presets' idea? I am not sure i get it yet, but am curious about it....

heh im only trying to make this product more high-end but with simplicity, ive been waiting for something like this with better GUIs than other (very rubbish) controllingsoftware.

Focus palletes, keed it in mind. saves lot of time and can be easy to make simplified.

Do you know how photoshops pen tool works? its a simple vector based tool. It could work well with touch.
If you dont get it i could make an basic blueprint. ;)

merry christmas

Actually it is a little bigger problem. XX.x cues (not cue lists) you need when you editing your show and you need to insert some cues let's say between cue 5 and cue 6 but you don't want to lose the logical order inside your cue list (this is just one example).
Right now cues do not have any ID at all. If you move cue 3 up in the list it will become cue 2 and former cue 2 will change it's number to 3. This can be very confusing, especially if you have more then 4 cues in the list.

So a simple solution (number based system with 2 and 2.1 is quite "old-style" of course) would be:

- Labels for cues ((almost) in the software)
- Ability to move cues (already in the software)

hi kinglevel,

Cuelux only works with 1 usb/dmx interface, so it's only 1 universe.
